by Kendall Loviscky pulled IUP within one, Leah Dunn making it an 8-6 game,
with 5:15 to go in the half. Mary
Gormley made it a three-goal cushion with 3:51 to go and that score would
hold as the halftime horn sounded.
The Panthers kept the momentum to start the second half, with
goals from Dunn and Modica, building the Panthers lead to 11-6. The Crimson Hawks
stormed back in a big way, putting five straight goals into Stephanie Stuart’s net. Adriana Greco
had three of them and just like that, the game was knotted at 11.
Dunleavy got the lead back for the Panthers with 19:34 to go
and 57 seconds later, it was Fjelstad firing one by Angela Lontoc in the IUP
net, making it a 13-11 game. Grenier struck again, with the Panthers
shorthanded, making it a three-goal game.
Lauren Tybor
scored with 11 minutes left and Greco, who led all scorers with six goals,
scored the last one for the Crimson Hawks with 8:05 to go, making it 15-12. Florida
Tech won the next draw and played keep away for the better part of the next
four minutes, as they ran time off the clock.
Modica scored her final goal of the night with 41 seconds
remaining, to put it out of reach and give the Panthers a big victory over a
