It was the seventh goal of the day for Downs, who was a one-man wrecking crew for the Cardinals on this day. His big day held up, thanks to a big performance from goalie Jake Lilly, who came up with 13 saves. Florida Tech took 51 shots, with 24 of them on goal. The Panthers (1-4) were led by Nick Wynne , who had four goals and Cody Martin , who added three goals and an assist, for his four-point day. Daniel Flock made eight saves on the day for the Panthers, but was stung a couple times at the end of quarters, which ended up being the difference in the game.
