Modica Tallies Six Times in Rout of Tusculum
Allie Modica - Photo credit: James Ragan Photography The Florida Tech Panthers women’s lacrosse team kept their offensive dominance going Thursday night, as the Panthers thumped Tusculum college 22-4, at Florida Tech Panther Stadium. Allie Modica led the Panthers onslaught with six goals and two assists. Sara Grenier had four goals and an assist, while Caroline Dunleavy ended the night with a hat trick. Defensive Player of The Week Sam Schiano chipped in with two. Schiano scored the first goal of the night, and it looked like it was going to be a back-and-forth affair, as the teams traded the first four goals of the game. With 20:38 left in the first half, Grenier gave the Panthers a 3-2 lead. At the time, it didn’t seem any more significant than any other goal, but to say it sparked the Panthers offense would be an understatement.
