After a 14-7 victory on Saturday, the Florida Tech women’s lacrosse team was right back at it Sunday, making it look easy against the Montevallo Falcons with an 18-2 victory in a neutral site game, played in Tampa.

Sara Grenier had a hat trick in the first 4:55 of Sunday’s contest. Grenier had a hat trick Saturday and picked up right where she left off Sunday, putting up five goals against Falcons goalie Irfana Ahmed. Caroline Dunleavy added four goals on Sunday, following her hat trick the previous day.

It was complete domination for the Panthers from start to finish. They put 12 goals on the board in the first half alone, including the first 11 goals of the game. Dunleavy had her hat trick in just under 13 minutes.

Jordan Grant and Mollie Kaplan came off the bench with two goals for the Panthers and Sam Schiano added two of her own.

Florida Tech goalie Stephanie Stuart gave up just two goals, one to Lauren Duckworth in the first half and Alyssa Kaminski in the second half, but the Falcons managed just eight shots with six on goal. On the other side, the Panthers fired 38 shots, 26 of those on net.

Montevallo (3-5) turned the ball over 26 times in the game and were only 8-for-15 on clears. The Panthers went a perfect 16-for-16 on clears, turning the ball over 19 times. Florida Tech won the ground ball battle 21-12 and won 14 draw controls, to only eight for the Falcons.

The Panthers return home Thursday to host Tusculum College. First draw will be at 7:00 p.m., at Florida Tech Panther Stadium.
