McCarthy Strikes Again as Panthers Move to 3-0

The Florida Tech Women’s Soccer team got another shutout victory Friday night, beating the Christian Brothers University Bucs by the score of 1-0 in Saint Leo Florida. After scoring both goals in a 2-1 overtime win over West Florida on Sunday, Kiera McCarthy tallied in the 20 th minute of Friday’s match and the Panthers defense, along with goaltender Karlyn Prisco, made it stand up. Despite scoring just one goal, the Panthers pelted Bucs’ goalie Emily Wragg with 26 shots, including 11 on goal. Her 10 saves made this a much closer game than it probably should have been. Meanwhile, Prisco had to make just three saves, with Christian Brothers totaling just five shots in the contest. The Panthers got off seven shots and one corner kick in the first 15 minutes of the game, with Wragg having to make four saves in that time.
